Summary of Revised Research Plan for the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP). The CCSP in 2008 will supplement its 2003 Strategic Plan with a Revised Research Plan. This summary of the Revised Research Plan is open for public comment for 60 days (through 26 February 2008). Radiative Forcing of Climate Change: Expanding the Concept and Addressing Uncertainties.  Report (released 16 Dec 2004) from the National Academies' Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate. The report, requested by the CCSP, examines the current state of knowledge regarding the direct and indirect radiative forcing effects of gases, aerosols, land-use, and solar variability on the climate of the Earth's surface and atmosphere. Tuesday, 13 January 2004 (7:30-9:30 p.m.).  Seattle, Washington (Washington State Convention & Trade Center).  Town Hall Meeting: The Climate Change Science Program.   Sponsored by the American Meteorological Organization's 15th Symposium on Global Change and Climate Variations.  The meeting will focus on the integration of research activities across federal agencies to address the goals of the CCSP Strategic Plan, including the production of approximately 20 synthesis and assessment products over the next four years. Representatives of the CCSP will provide an overview of the new program, will discuss implementation, and will engage in a dialogue about opportunities and challenges.

FY02 and FY03 Climate and Global Change Interagency Inventory.  The Climate and Global Change Interagency Inventory Data Sheet (dtd August 2002)  is a working document that includes information provided by federal agencies regarding their climate and global change research activities.  The data differ in some respects from information reported in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2002 and FY 2003 editions of Our Changing Planet, the annual U.S. Global Change Research Program report to Congress. Some of these discrepancies are the result of differences between requested and enacted levels of funding. In addition, some programs in the President's FY03 request as part of CCRI were not labeled as CCRI programs in the inventory. (links posted 5 December 2002)
