Position:  Former Project Manager, Joint Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology (JSOST)

Responsibilities:  In late 2005, Dr. Shelby Walker joined the CCSP Office as as professional staff to the JSOST. She supported the JSOST in preparing the Ocean Research Priorities Plan and was responsible for coordinating the drafting and reviewing processes.  As part of the effort, she organized community outreach efforts as well as a public workshop designed to elicit comments and engagement from diverse ocean-based communities.  In May 2007 she took a new position as Associate
Program Director in the Ocean Science division of the National Science Foundation.
